Unlock the language of modern manufacturing. This hands-on course is designed for manual machinists and machine operators looking to transition into CNC programming and operations. Students will learn to interpret engineering drawings and manually write, edit and troubleshoot G-Code (geometry commands) and M-Code (machine function commands) to control 3-axis mills or CNC lathes. Through a combination of classroom instruction, simulation software, and actual machine lab time, learners will bridge the gap between digital design and physical part production.
- In-Person
This intensive course prepares students for entry- level roles as CNC operators and additive manufacturing technicians. Participants gain hands-on experience setting up, operating and troubleshooting CNC mills and lathes, alongside foundational skills in 3D printing, safety and precision measurement, designed to meet NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) certification standards.
- In-Person
This hands-on course provides foundational training in operating manual milling machines and lathes, preparing students for entry-level machinist roles. Participants will master essential shop safety, precision measurement, blueprint reading and core machining processes like turning, facing, drilling and milling to fabricate metal parts accurately.
- In-Person
This course provides practical training in CAD/ CAM software to program CNC machinery, covering 2D/3D modeling, toolpath generation and part simulation. Participants learn to create efficient toolpaths (including High-Speed) and generate G-code, preparing them for roles as CNC programmers, machinists or machine tool operators.
- In-Person
The OSHA-10 course teaches entry-level employees how to recognize hazards in any work environment. OSHA recommends that you enroll in this safety certification program as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1910. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of each job. Upon successful completion, you will receive a 10-hour General Industry Safety Certification Completion Card.
Tuition: $125
